Risk Disclosure Statement

This Risk Disclosure Statement is issued by Legacy Capital Ltd, trading as “WB Invest” (the “Company”) under www.wbinvest.com. It is for information only and does not constitute investment advice.

This statement is for information purposes only. It highlights the principal risks of dealing in financial instruments, specifically Contracts for Difference (CFDs), but it is not an exhaustive list of all risks or other important considerations. You should read it together with our other legal documents available on our website and related documents which, along with your account agreement, govern your relationship with us.

Please review and understand all such documents before entering into a business relationship with us.

Nature of CFDs

CFDs are leveraged derivative products; you speculate on price movements of an underlying asset without owning it. CFD prices are derived from underlying markets and can move rapidly and unpredictably.

Suitability

CFDs are not appropriate for everyone. Before trading, consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford the high risk of losing money. Assess your experience, objectives, financial resources, and risk tolerance. If unsure, seek independent professional advice.

Leverage & margin

  • Leverage amplifies both gains and losses; small market moves can have a large impact on your equity.
  • You must maintain required margin at all times; otherwise positions may be closed automatically at a loss.
  • Depending on your account terms and client categorisation, negative balance protection may not apply; losses can exceed your initial deposit.

Market, liquidity & volatility

  • Conditions such as volatility, gapping, thin liquidity, trading halts or suspensions may make it difficult or impossible to open, adjust, or close positions.
  • Orders may execute at a different price from the requested level (slippage). Stop orders are not guaranteed.

Pricing & execution

  • Spreads may widen during volatile or illiquid periods, at open/close, around news, or outside exchange hours.
  • Orders may be rejected, delayed, or partially filled in line with our Order Execution Policy. Displayed prices can differ from execution prices due to latency and fast markets.

Electronic trading & operational risk

Trading via electronic systems involves risks from hardware/software failures, connectivity issues, power outages, cyber incidents, and third-party disruptions. These can cause delays, errors, or unexecuted instructions. Access to platforms, pricing, and services is not guaranteed. You are responsible for securing your devices and credentials.

Costs, charges & financing

Spreads, commissions, swaps/overnight financing, and other fees will reduce returns or increase losses. Review all applicable charges, especially for positions held overnight or long term.

Corporate actions & adjustments

CFD positions may be adjusted for corporate actions (e.g., dividends, splits, rights issues) in line with product specifications. Adjustments may be positive or negative and affect P&L and margin.

Foreign exchange risk

If an instrument or your account is denominated in a different currency, FX movements can affect your profits and losses when converted to your base currency.

Counterparty & insolvency risk

Funds/assets used for CFD trading may be held with the Company and/or third-party institutions. Legal protections and recovery outcomes in the event of default or insolvency vary by jurisdiction and product; you may not recover all funds.

Force majeure & exceptional events

During exceptional market conditions or force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, civil unrest, extreme market stress, failures of communications or utilities), we may be unable to execute instructions, maintain pricing, or provide services as usual. Any resulting losses remain your responsibility.

Tax

CFD trading may create tax liabilities depending on your circumstances and applicable law. You are solely responsible for meeting any tax obligations and should seek independent tax advice if needed.

Your acknowledgement

By opening an account or placing trades, you confirm that you understand and accept the risks described above, have reviewed the relevant product documents and terms, and acknowledge that all trading is undertaken at your own risk. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Profits are not guaranteed.
